Terms of service

These terms govern Lucen Pets, operated by Jessica Klimmek, a sole proprietor in Lucerne, Switzerland. Our business address and contact details are in the Imprint. Questions can be sent to hello@lucenpets.com. By using the portrait service, you agree to these terms.

Today: previews and reservations

The current service offers free AI-generated portrait previews and a non-binding email reservation list. No payment is taken, no sales contract is formed and no canvas or digital file is ordered by joining the list. A reservation does not guarantee a launch date, availability, price or permanent storage of a portrait. Preview files expire after 30 days. You can leave the list at any time by emailing us.

Who can use the service

You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. Upload only photographs you own or are authorised to use. You must have permission from any identifiable person shown. Do not submit illegal, abusive or infringing content, private information about others, or material that endangers children. Do not bypass security controls, scrape private previews or interfere with the service.

Your photos and our permission to process them

You retain your rights in the original photo. You give us a limited permission to process, resize, transmit to our image-generation provider and store that photo or its resulting portrait solely to provide the service, support it and address misuse. This permission lasts only as needed for those purposes and the retention described in our Privacy policy. It does not permit us to use your photo in public marketing without separate permission.

AI results and preview use

Portraits are generated using AI and may contain visual errors or differ between attempts. Inspect the preview carefully, including your pet’s markings. Timing estimates are typical, not guaranteed. We allow up to eight generation attempts per IP address per hour; provider failures may use an attempt. Service availability depends on third-party providers.

You may view and share your watermarked preview for personal, non-commercial purposes. Do not remove its watermark to represent it as a purchased file. You are responsible for the rights in uploaded material. AI output may not be unique or eligible for copyright protection; we do not promise exclusive ownership or a particular legal status.

When purchasing becomes available

The following describes our intended launch offering. Checkout will present the applicable product details, final price and terms before any payment. A paid order will be accepted only when we confirm acceptance, not through today’s reservation form.

Planned prices are in USD: 12″ × 16″ canvas $59, 18″ × 24″ canvas $99, 24″ × 32″ canvas $149, and digital download $14.90. US canvas shipping is included. Any applicable taxes will be disclosed before payment. We may update future prices, but changes will not alter an accepted paid order.

Canvases are gallery-wrapped and ready to hang; the decorative gilt frame on this website is a display effect and is not included. Artwork is portrait-format 3:4. Screen colour, print colour and edge wrapping may differ slightly. Purchased digital files will be delivered without the preview watermark for personal use and personal printing, subject to rights in the original upload. Resale or commercial licensing requires a separate agreement.

Production, delivery and changes

Once ordering opens, estimated US production is 3 to 5 business days, followed by 3 to 5 business days in transit. Holiday cutoffs will be announced in November. Delivery estimates depend on the accepted order and address. If we cannot meet a promised shipment time, we will offer a revised date and the choice to cancel for a refund as required by applicable law.

Check the selected preview, size and address before ordering. Contact us promptly to request changes or cancellation. Custom production may prevent changes once printing begins, without limiting rights for defects, misdescription or delayed shipment. See the Refunds policy for our planned remedies.

Problems and responsibility

Please tell us about any service problem so we can investigate. We may pause requests that breach these terms or threaten security. Where practical, we will explain the restriction and how to contact us about it. The free preview service is provided subject to reasonable availability and may be changed or discontinued. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury where non-excludable, or any consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.

Law, disputes and updates

Swiss law applies to the extent permitted by law. If mandatory consumer protections in your US state or other place of residence apply, these terms do not remove them or require you to waive an available local court or remedy. Please contact us first about a dispute so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.

Updates apply prospectively from publication and do not retroactively change accepted paid orders. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply where lawful. Last updated: October 23, 2026.
